What are special screws?

Common types of specialty screws include triangular screws, hanger bolts, and stud bolts.
The triangular screws
Triangular screws come from safety technology and have a triangular head shape. This head shape requires special assembly keys for assembly and disassembly. This makes it very difficult for unauthorized persons to loosen this type of screw. This type of screw connection is used, for example, in parking lot bars, door locks or barrier posts for a pedestrian zone.
The hanger bolts
Hanger bolts are special fastening screws that have a thread for dowels at one end and a metric thread at the other end instead of a screw head. There is a hexagon in between that allows the screw to be tightened with an open-end wrench. This offers special advantages in the tightest of spaces. They are typically used in stair construction, for example.
The stud bolts
Studs are a type of threaded rod with a threadless center section. They are firmly connected to the component up to the middle part and therefore look as if they are standing on the component. Several machine components can be connected to one another using stud bolts. There are many different areas of application, such as mechanical engineering or electrical engineering. A big advantage of the stud bolts is that they remain in the machine part and therefore the thread is not easily damaged by frequent tightening and loosening.
